I remember catching the infomercial for Ab Rocket featuring Kim Kardashian, socialite and television celebrity, and her mom, Kris Jenner.

Being the socially connected gal that she is, I knew it wouldn’t be difficult to track down details on the infomercial – Sure enough, Kim had posted about the experience of her and her mom on her Celebuzz blog.

My mom and I filmed an infomercial for the Ab Rocket. This machine is soooo easy! I took one home and have done it every day since! It’s effective and doesn’t hurt my back when I do my situps! Has anyone here tried it?

As much as I hate to admit it, Kim does look amazing!

Her struggle with her figure was a little on the public side and while she does look amazing, she does have one of those frames that will always require a little work and effort.

At least now she has a toned body and she seems to be very happy in love. Kim claims she didn’t starve herself to lose the weight, but instead, she stuck to an intense workout routine. Kim’s routine brought her down from size 6 to size 2.

Like most solid workout sessions, Kim’s began with a warm up, followed by some cardio exercises. It’s reported that her favorite exercises include lunges and squats. Kim would finish off her routine by stretching and doing abdominal toning exercises. One thing many of us get stuck in is focusing solely on those problem areas – not Kim – she chose to do a total body workout for the best results.

Kim’s workout routine included:

  • Cardio – start workouts everyday with an elliptical machine or walking. Kim claims cardio exercises must be done for about 30-60 minutes everyday.
  • Lunges – she would stand straight and keep her arms at her side. She would step forward with her left leg and then squat down until her thighs were parallel to the floor. She would then repeat this from the right side.
  • Squats – consisted of standing in front of chair & sitting down on it. Then she would stand up and repeat this for three sets of 15 repetitions.
  • Arms and upper body – this was accomplished with push ups. Kim would do 3 sets of 10 repetitions. Triceps dips are also important.
  • Ab Rocket – finally Kim would round out her session on the Ab Rocket to help her tone and sculpt her abs. It also help to burn fat from your buns, thighs, and arms.

A balanced diet is also crucial to an overall body toning success. Kim included lots of fresh fruits and green vegetables. She also increased her water intake. She avoided saturated fats and junk food.

Obviously it worked and it worked very well!

Lisa’s Diet Tips

Lisa eats smaller meals every few hours. She also eats a lot of Powerbars, and she also likes to snack on Snacktrition nuts.  Her diet includes lots of fruit, chicken, while avoiding breads, potatoes and chips. 

I’ve seen Lisa on several talk shows since she appeared on Dancing with the Stars and she says dancing on “Dancing With the Stars” helped her lose weight, and that her body looks like it did when she was 18 years old.  Lisa is now 48 and has two kids.

kirstie alley on dancing with the stars This week on Dancing With The Stars, Kirstie Alley took a couple of bad falls that concerned Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The concern was very touching. You could see he was visibly upset, when he ask her what she had eaten that day. Kirstie stammered and replied she had only taken in 120 calories for the day, but she had been eating 1400 calories per day.

Maksim explained that 1400 calories per day was not enough, because she was burning more calories than that during practices sessions.

Last evening may have been an awakening for a lot of dieters who might be trying to starve their weight off. It is a proven fact, that you can gain weight while starving yourself, because your body compensates, by manufacturing what it needs to keep you from starving.

With mishaps, dieting and grueling practice Kirstie, still came out with two nines and her first 10 of the season.

What a wonderful gift it would be to see Kirstie win, this seasons Dancing With The Stars. If she is not this seasons winner, she is still a winner in our eyes for working so hard on both her dancing and weight loss.

Love her or hate her, I think we can all agree Kate Gosselin is in the best shape of her life! Obviously she agrees – she’s showing it off in a teeny-tiny white bikini on the cover of People Magazine. With the help of a strict diet and routine exercise, Kate has gained a better body than she had even in her teens and 20’s.

Kate recently became obsessed with running daily, with 8 kids she finds a way to work it into her routine. After daily morning runs, Kate says she now weighs about 130 lbs. (at 5? 7?).

According to Kate, she has always tried to eat healthy, organic meals. For breakfast Kate treats herself to carbs and fiber, Raisin Bran mixed with Kashi 7 Whole Grain Nuggets with some Splenda, and a cup of coffee.

Snacks include hummus and baba ganoush, egg whites with feta cheese, low-fat cottage cheese with sunflower seeds and almonds.

Kate also love whole-grain kamut cakes, which are like rice cakes and she adds a little peanut butter to it.

And what would life be without a sweet treat? Kate’s guilty pleasure happens to be Fig Newmans cookies (like Fig Newtons) except they’re fat free!
