There’s an estimated two million extremely obese children.  In that last 30 years alone, childhood obesity in America has nearly tripled.

Now, two highly respected doctors, in a well known medical publication, have come up with a radical idea to solve the nation’s childhood obesity problem.

Now an "opinion piece" in the Journal of the American Medical Association suggests they could be taken away from the hands that feed them in order to save their lives.

I can’t say they should be taken away from their parents, but there should be something done. Perhaps teach classes on easy and affordable meals to cook that are both tasty and healthy.

One of the most common complaints I’ve see is that eating healthy is too expensive.

That should be where the fight begins – that and taking candy and pop machines out of schools. Kids will gladly drink a nice bottled water if it’s cold and comes from a vending machine.

Do away with chocolate milk too! Kids don’t need that! If they are thirsty – they will drink milk or water – it’s that simple.

What are your thoughts? Are obese kids abused kids?
